A student teacher who was just about to start her new career has been killed in a car crash.

Claire Cordon, a student at St Mary's University College, Twickenham, had been travelling to Glastonbury with fiancé Richard Patterson and Kingston University student Gemma Parker, when the accident happened last Wednesday.

The 26-year-old from Epsom died after she lost control of the blue Peugeot she was driving west on the A303 at Charnage Hill near Mere at 9.10am.

The Peugeot struck a HGV in front of it, then spun across the road and was hit by another HGV travelling up the hill.

I knew Claire for only a short period but she was bright, allways smiling and had warm and loving personality. My thoughts are with her family and her partner.
My Deepest Sympathies.

My sympathy to her family. (But should the Guardian sell advertising against a tribute page?)

Claire will be sorely missed, a lovely warm girl who had so much to give. Best wishes to Rich and all the family x

I worked with Claire during her PGCE, and although I only knew her for a matter of weeks before she died, I was one of the many people badly affected by her death. My thoughts are with her family and friends - I wish her fiance a speedy recovery. May Claire rest in peace.

I cannot even begin to imagine how her fiance and close family and friends must be feeling, its beyond comprehension. Its such a cruel and desperately sad tragedy. I say a prayer for her, her fiance and parents. God bless them!!
