Life is hot for Ashford

11:13am Monday 7th July 2008

Ashford endured mixed fortunes in their three matches last week, enjoying two convincing wins over Sunningdale and Cambridge Park but going down to Slough.

The Ashford ladies played very well at Sunningdale and completely overpowered their opponents to win all three triples played in a 60-37 win. Ashford's top scorers were M Law, C Stedman and M Gammon with a 24-12 winning margin.

Slough's artificial surface proved to be difficult for Ashford in the next match. As hard as Ashford tried they just could not get the hang of the artificial green as Slough won the three triples that were played to record a 67-36 defeat.

In the Men's Richmond and Barnes League, Ashford defeated Cambridge Park 4-0.

Two of Ashford's rinks won by eight shots - A Reason, W Cox, M Delaney, D Ayton Jnr (30-22) and R Searle, A Anderson, G Aylott, D Coleman (23-15).
